Julia: So yesterday I was reading The 3D Type Book and read about the Toyota iQ font. Pierre Smeets and Damien Aresta put a race car driver in the driver’s seat, and strapped a camera above that tracked the four colorful dots on the corner of the iQ. This data was then sent into software that creates the shapes, punctuation and everything else that makes up a font. The process and the result of this project is kind of amazing.
